"After cleansing my face I wait 10 mins then apply this at night before sleep , after applying retinoid it takes a while to absorb which is completely normal and fine but after gently rubbing it on my cheeks it doesn't absorb completely and still a small wet peeling of retinoid layer will remain like a dead moist skin peel on lips after shower! "The product is good. I have only been using it for a few weeks so in my routine I happen to apply it only once a week. So I can tell about the results after a few more uses. However, the packaging of the product is not good. The tube which is also supposed to be a pump, it doesn’t work! It took me more than 15 minutes until my fingers started aching that i kept pumping and squeezing and squeezing and pumping and the all of a sudden a whole lot of the product gushed out and I couldn’t put it back in… kind of waste of such an expensive product. Please fix the tube"

Retinoids reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of photo-aging by influencing a variety of cellular processes such as epidermal proliferation, skin thickening, compaction of the stratum corneum, and biosynthesis of the glycosaminoglycans. They also promote cellular growth resulting in younger radiant skin.

Can I use this product every day?

Yes, Retinoid serum is safe to use every night. Start with 2-3 times a week and gradually work your way up as tolerated. It may cause minor side effects such as redness and irritation, which dissipate within a few weeks as your skin gets adjusted.

Does Retinoid cause purging or breakout?

Like any other skincare active, retinoid also takes time to adjust as your skin starts getting accustomed to the same; in the first 2-3 weeks of use, your cell turnover increases, causing your pores to purge. However, these side effects will dissipate in 2-3 weeks as the skin becomes used to the cell turnover rate.

The retinoid ingredient added in minimalist serum is of smaller molecule size. It does not clog your pores. So, you might see little purging but not breakouts.
